Vipp presents a new modular kitchen design in stone and oak

The Danish company’s second kitchen design, the V2 kitchen by Vipp features a timeless, modular design in a new organic material palette

Vipp unveils the V2 kitchen. The Danish company’s second kitchen design is defined by a modular composition and organic materials, including Jura marble from Bavaria for the top and dark oak sourced from European forests for the cabinets.

‘While our first kitchen made in steel presented a raw and refined industrial design, the V2 kitchen’s material symphony is a carefully composed interplay in wood, stone, glass and metal, adding a new organic tactility and materiality to kitchen architecture,’ says Vipp chief designer Morten Bo Jensen.

The V2: a new Vipp Kitchen with an updated material palette

The newest Vipp Kitchen bears the distinctive characteristics of the Danish brands’ design philosophy: Scandinavian minimalism, timeless design and built to last. What started with a now iconic pedal bin in 1939 (designed by company founder Holger Nielsen) has now developed into a full suite of home accessories and furniture by Vipp, including office chairs, lighting designs, sofas and dining tables defined by the same minimalist design.

The Vipp V2 Kitchen features a strong Scandinavian identity infused with a Japanese aesthetic, and follows the same modular, building-block approach of its predecessor, where kitchen units were used as tall, wall or island modules. The fossil-rich stone of the tops adds a visual richness to the minimal kitchen. The kitchen island is finished with extruded aluminium profiles, with reeded details used to punctuate the discreet, integrated drawer and cabinet grips. Vipp’s functional approach can be found inside the drawers, accessorized with practical moulded silicone cutlery dividers, and on the effortless push-click opening mechanisms on the cabinet doors.

Kasper Egelund, CEO of Vipp concludes: ‘as the second kitchen design by Vipp, the V2 kitchen offers Vipp’s modular kitchen system and appliances known from V1 but in a brand new material palette.’ §
