the philosophy behind the 166sqm attraction is to simulate the look and feel of the modern chinese home, whilst staying true to the ecological and sustainable morals of neolith. moreover, shenzhen-based firm, willow design, was challenged to deliver a balance between form and function as well as communicate the brand’s seamless quality. the showroom offers a unique experience for residential interior design, through an impressive scale of floor to ceiling surfaces and visual continuity.
‘often, when we receive a brief, its specific requirements mean we usually have to prioritize either performance or looks. however, neolith offers the best of both worlds: not only is it ultra-hygienic and low maintenance, which is important in the home setting, it’s also available in a wide range of highly-detailed patterns. this offers essential flexibility and inspires greater creativity. as you will see, the results speak for themselves. the material was pivotal in allowing our imaginations to run wild, creating a space which truly showcases neolith’s potential,’ explains willow hu of willow design.

once inside, the visitor is immersed into a two-tone kitchen made from nero maquina and mont blanc. the merging of crisp white and subtle grey tones with bold geometric shapes, introduces the artistic and clean look of neolith at first glance.

the journey continues into the lobby area, where the protagonistic wall is entirely specified with the estautario model. with advanced fabricated techniques, a continuous grain is achieved making the space appear even bigger than what it actually is. the furniture, being essential for the curation of each area, give a homely atmosphere and complete the lounge.

different and ingenious applications of the stone are seen at the study area. here, the walls floors are covered in mar del plata, and are complemented by a library, sculptures and soft lighting. the atmosphere allows for personal space and reflection.

when leaving the darker shades of the study, the visitor is drawn to the brightness of the bathroom. the cladding of the walls, doors and cabinetry is in polished calacatta, the floors in zaha stone, and the countertops in muted beton. with reference to a zen garden, neolith achieves balance between nature and ornament, which, once again, establishes the natural theme of the showroom.
